Toyota overtook everyone: which car brands Ukrainians prefer in 2025.

Sales of new cars in the Ukrainian market reached 69.6 thousand units in 2024, which is a significant increase. Toyota became the sales leader, surpassing traditional market leaders, reports 'Khvylia'.

According to automotive expert Yevhen Yermolov, Toyota took first place with 10,731 cars sold. Renault came in second with 7,266 units. The top five also included Skoda, Volkswagen, and BMW.

Renault Duster became particularly popular among Ukrainian buyers, selling 6,826 cars. Yermolov also noted the success of Korean car manufacturers Hyundai and Kia.

Currently, the Ukrainian car market is divided into two main segments: affordable cars priced up to 10-15 thousand dollars and premium cars priced from 100 thousand dollars.

Sales of new cars increased by 14% compared to 2023. However, Yermolov noted that the growth could have been even greater if car financing were more accessible to Ukrainians. Yermolov also emphasized the popularity of electric vehicles, particularly Tesla, in the premium segment.

The expert hopes that the trend of increasing sales of new cars will continue in 2025, but to achieve optimal figures, car financing conditions and the purchasing power of the population need to improve.
