Prices for popular vegetables are falling in Ukraine.

Prices for imported tomatoes from Turkey in Ukraine are decreasing due to low demand from wholesale companies and retail chains. According to analysts from EastFruit, the prices of Turkish tomatoes have fallen by 14% and range from 75 to 90 UAH per kilogram, depending on quality and volume of batches. The supply of imported products remains high, but the demand for them is very low, so sellers are ready to lower prices.
The number of shipments of Turkish tomatoes has been increasing over the week, creating a surplus in the market. As a result, many wholesale companies and retail chains have reduced purchases and buy new batches only after selling the existing stocks.
Despite the price decrease, the cost of imported tomatoes in Ukraine remains 10% higher than last year at this Time. If demand does not increase in the near future, the price reduction may continue until the end of February.
According to analysts from the EastFruit project, prices for cucumbers in Ukraine continue to rise. The cost of greenhouse cucumbers has increased by 13% over the past week and ranges from 90 to 130 UAH per kilogram. This is related to the increase in the cost of Turkish cucumbers and problems with the regularity of supplies.
A record price for cucumbers of 449 UAH per kilogram has been recorded in one of the 'Silpo' supermarket chains in Kyiv.
