Financial Aid for Emergency and Restoration Crew Workers

According to TSN.ua: Starting February 6, 2023, workers on emergency repair crews in Ukraine can apply for financial assistance. This support program, which runs until March 2026, provides a payment of 20,000 hryvnias for each month worked under hazardous conditions. This initiative is designed to aid specialists performing critical tasks in dangerous environments, often related to wartime damage.

The first payments are scheduled to be made by the end of February. Applications must be submitted centrally by employers through the 'Diia' portal. Lists of employees eligible for the payment must be filed between the 6th and 15th of each month. This centralized process aims to organize the payment system and ensure timely aid reaches those who need it.

Increased Payouts for Families of Fallen Defenders

Separately, from March 1, 2026, the minimum monthly payment for non-working parents, spouses, and children of fallen defenders will increase from 7,800 to 12,810 hryvnias. The minimum amount per recipient will also rise from 6,100 to 10,020 hryvnias. According to Yuliia Svyrydenko, over 40,000 specialists are currently engaged in this emergency work nationwide, highlighting the scale of the effort and the importance of supporting these frontline workers.
