Yevhen Klopotenko presented Ukrainian borscht in Tokyo

According to inkorr.com: Chef Yevhen Klopotenko prepared borscht in Tokyo using ingredients grown in demined fields of Ukraine. This news was shared on social media by the restaurateur and UNDP Ukraine.

The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, together with UNDP Ukraine, presented the products of the Soul of Soil project during the international Ukraine Mine Action Conference 2025. The ingredients for the borscht and dumplings traveled over 8 thousand kilometers from various regions of Ukraine to Japan to highlight the importance of clearing Ukrainian territories of mines.

For me, it was important to showcase Ukraine and our cuisine at such a significant international event. Japanese high officials, journalists, and bloggers were present at the event. Widespread media coverage is expected, helping the Japanese to better understand what true Ukrainian borscht is.
- noted Yevhen Klopotenko.

The conference was attended by officials and the ambassador of humanitarian demining, singer Jerry Heil. It was also revealed that Yevhen Klopotenko showed his girlfriend for the first time.

The presentation of borscht made from Ukrainian ingredients at an international event in Japan became not only a culinary event but also contributed to the promotion of Ukrainian cuisine on the world stage.

This event emphasizes the importance of international cooperation and support for Ukraine, especially in the context of post-war recovery. Performances by talents like Yevhen Klopotenko demonstrate the cultural heritage of the country and open new opportunities for gastronomic exchange between nations.
