The 'Broken Strings' singer is now dating travel influencer Mariel Jones, who proudly shares their photos together on Instagram.

Among the places they visited, including Turkey, the stylish blonde shared a photo of them kissing in Rome in July as well as enjoying pasta, beer, and ice cream before showing their affection in Sicily.

In one photo, James, a native of Rugby, is seen in sunglasses with a beaming smile while Mariel embraces him.

After a recent trip to Copenhagen, she posted a black-and-white collage where they look very cute together.

Her friends quickly called them 'cute' as she joked in the caption: 'Just Copeng [hagen].'

Her profile is also filled with photos from trips to Paris and the French Alps, as well as shots of her enjoying sparkling wine and visiting trendy bars in the UK.

“She said, ‘That is John Gill.’”

“So I had to pick my mom up from my girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend’s house, and it was very awkward!”

The singer also explained that their shared love of music helped to foster their early bond, as Gill’s father was also a musician.

He said: “We found common ground right away. But I had to wait two years to understand whether what I felt was real.”

“As I didn’t date her in the first year or more while she was living there. She was with a guy, so I was just getting to know her.”

“And I didn’t want to tell her that I had fallen for her at first sight, as I had never fallen in love before.”

“So I had to take the big risks to tell her I liked her.”

His album 'You’re Stronger Than You Know' was dedicated to his late partner and her strength.

Gill went through a difficult pregnancy with their second child, giving birth at 16 weeks.

“That’s why, looking back, I named the album ‘You’re Stronger Than You Know’ because Gill was incredible.”
