“Like many who knew this good man, his unconditional love for his wife Kirsten and family was always the most important thing. From this came his passion for music and faith.
“John passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly.
“We will always remember his love, smile, kindness, and support.
“Our hearts are broken, but we will move forward in peace, surrounded by the love he had for each of us.
“As John always said at the end of his shows: thank you for keeping the faith.”
Lodge was known as a musician and songwriter in the legendary rock band Moody Blues.
In 2018, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In the following year, he performed on the Rock and Romance Cruise alongside Don Felder, America, and other artists, and then continued with a 12-day tour.
During the Covid lockdown, Lodge wrote and recorded a song 'In These Crazy Times'.
He recorded the track alone, inviting his son Christian to play guitar. His wife Kirsten performed backing vocals, and his daughter Emily joined the project.
