According to inkorr.com: Today, October 23, a farewell ceremony is taking place for the Ukrainian musician, leader, and founder of the rock band Green Grey, Andriy Diesel Yatsenko, who passed away on October 20 at the age of 55. This was reported by 'Glavcom'.

The ceremony began at 9:00 AM at the House of Cinema of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine.

Farewell to Diesel Yatsenko

Friends and fans gathered at the 'House of Cinema' to pay tribute to the musician. The farewell will last until 11:30 AM. Among those present were singers such as Jamala, as well as Taras Topolia and TV host Andriy Dzhedzhula. The last to come and honor Diesel's memory was his colleague from the band Green Grey, Murik.

Andriy Yatsenko is a well-known Ukrainian rock musician, leader and founder of the band Green Grey, guitarist, and composer. He was born on December 25, 1969, in Kyiv and significantly influenced the formation of a pro-European worldview in Ukraine at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The band Green Grey was founded in 1993, consisting of Dmytro Muravytsky ('Murik') and Andriy Yatsenko ('Diesel'). This was the first Ukrainian band to receive an MTV Europe Music Award (in 1996 in London; the second award was in 2009 in Berlin).

Green Grey became the first performers in Ukraine to sign a contract with Pepsi (in 1996). In 2023, the band unexpectedly expressed gratitude to the third president Viktor Yushchenko for his participation in the Orange Revolution. In 2022, the group presented the Ukrainian version of the hit 'Emigrant'.
