Meteorologist Nataliya Didenko spoke about the situation. Tomorrow, gusts of wind in the Left Bank region will reach 15-20 meters per second, and it will be predominantly from the west.
“Light snow may still be possible tonight in the northern regions, while in the daytime, wet snow and rain will come with a new cyclone in the south, east, and Dnipropetrovsk region,” she noted.
Thus, tomorrow during the day, significant precipitation is not expected in most regions of Ukraine, but in the south, and in the evening on Saturday and to the east, wet snow and rain with strong winds are anticipated.
Temperature indicators
In the western regions, at night the temperature will be -12 to -18 degrees, and during the day -7 to -12 degrees. In the north and center, the night forecast is -7 to -14 degrees, on January 10 during the day -4 to -10 degrees. In the south and east at night -2 to -7 degrees, while tomorrow during the day the temperature will fluctuate from 2 degrees of frost to 2 degrees of warmth.
In Kyiv, on January 10, light snow is expected at night, but no precipitation during the day. The wind will calm down to moderate. The temperature at night in the capital will be -12 degrees, during the day -10 degrees, although in the evening on Saturday it will drop to -14 degrees.
On Sunday in Kyiv, no precipitation is promised, but ice formation is possible; at night the temperature will be -15, during the day -12 degrees.
“On January 11, difficult weather conditions are expected in the south and east of Ukraine due to another southern cyclone — wet snow, rain, wet snow sticking, strong winds, and ice. In the rest of Ukraine on Sunday, January 11, significant precipitation will not occur, while in the west, light snow is possible. The frost will intensify on Sunday, only warmth will prevail in Donetsk, Luhansk, and Crimea,” she added.
Moreover, due to the worsening weather conditions, the government plans a decision that will allow employees of non-critical institutions to work from home. Ukraine as a whole faces the threat of strong frosts.
