Ukraine's Central Bank Launches Online Payment Tracking Service.
Payment Tracking in Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has launched a new payment tracking system within its electronic payments network. This service allows bank customers to monitor the status of their transactions around the clock, providing real-time updates on every transfer. This move aligns with global trends towards greater financial transparency and customer empowerment.
Available Payment Statuses
The tracking system displays four key statuses for each transaction:
- Initiated
- Processed by the payer's bank
- Awaiting processing in the SEP (System of Electronic Payments)
- Credited to the recipient's account
This clear breakdown helps users understand exactly where their money is in the transfer process and estimate the time remaining until completion.
To use the service, customers must enter the unique universal identifier for the payment operation (UETR) along with the transaction amount in hryvnia. The system tracks the timing of all key stages, including instant transfers, making personal financial management more transparent and convenient. This initiative represents a significant step in modernizing Ukraine's financial services, reducing uncertainty for consumers and increasing trust in banking institutions. In the context of rapidly evolving financial technology, such innovations are crucial for maintaining the competitiveness of Ukraine's banking sector.
