Northern Shahed Drone Assault Targets Kyiv Region Overnight.
Hostile Drone Attacks Reported
According to TSN.ua: On the night of February 28, Ukraine was targeted by a wave of hostile Shahed-type drones launched from the north. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the unmanned aerial vehicles were active, with groups moving southward from the northern part of Chernihiv region and others heading toward Derhachi from northern Kharkiv region.
Consequences of the Assault
The mass missile and drone attack on Kyiv region resulted in 17 casualties, including four children. One civilian was killed in the Fastiv district. In response to these events, Pope Leo XIV issued a call for peace following the large-scale assault.
