According to inkorr.com: A farewell ceremony for Andriy 'Diesel' Yatsenko, the leader of the band Green Grey, took place in Kyiv. Many friends and stars of the show business gathered to bid the musician a final farewell. Among them was the winner of Eurovision 2016 Jamala, who recalled shared moments with Diesel.

“He was very kind to me, I used to call him Uncle Diesel. Because he seemed huge and larger than life. We joked a lot together, jammed, he somehow respected me. It's a shame, they could still play and play,” Jamala shared.

TV presenter Anatoliy Anatolich also attended the ceremony with his wife Yulia. He shared his impressions of getting to know the band Green Grey and their music.

“The band Green Grey always set a high bar for the quality of Ukrainian music. They were true rock musicians, lived vividly because they wanted to. They were controversial, as they should be. They evoked a wide range of emotions. Their music still resonates today,” Anatoliy said.

Unforgettable for their creativity and music

Andriy 'Diesel' Yatsenko passed away at the age of 55 due to heart failure. He was not only the leader of the band Green Grey but also an experienced rock guitarist, responsible for arrangements and sound during performances. The musician left an unforgettable mark on Ukrainian music, thanks to hits like “Under the Rain”, “Mazafaka”, “Emigrant”.

After the farewell ceremony, Andriy Yatsenko was cremated at Baikove Cemetery. The band Green Grey, founded in Kyiv in 1993, is known for its unique sound, which remains relevant today. The Ukrainian rock scene is grateful to Andriy for his music and significant contribution to its development.
