According to TSN.ua: In the early hours of February 20, 2026, Russian forces launched a drone assault against Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the attack originated from the southeast, targeting the regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhzhia. This latest strike is part of a prolonged pattern of aerial bombardments that have targeted civilian infrastructure and energy networks.

In response to the threat, Ukrzaliznytsia, the national railway, activated its 'Plan B' contingency measures, indicating the operational severity and the need for immediate adaptation.
