Military Buildup on the Dobropillia Axis

According to TSN.ua: Russian forces are preparing for a potential advance toward the city of Dobropillia, having transformed the captured town of Selydove into a fortified military base and rear supply hub. This strategic move allows them to consolidate their presence in the region. The basements of homes, institutions, and apartments are now occupied by personnel, with hospitals, food stores, and ammunition and logistics depots being established, indicating serious military preparations.

Occupying forces are employing new tactics on this front, including electronic warfare and mobile fire groups. According to military expert Stanislav Buniatov,

"the occupiers on this axis are not limiting themselves to just 'creeping infantry' tactics."
This area has been a focal point of fighting in the Donetsk region for months.

Conflict Escalation and Infrastructure Attacks

In a further escalation, Russian troops detonated a dam near the settlement of Osykove using a three-ton guided aerial bomb (FAB-3000). The attack caused localized flooding and severed one of the logistical routes to the city of Kostiantynivka. Such actions highlight the growing threat to civilians in the area and Russia's willingness to target critical infrastructure.

These developments underscore the critical importance of territorial control and logistics in modern warfare. The conversion of Selydove into a military base signals the occupiers' intent to solidify their positions and prepare for further offensive operations. The increasing military activity and use of heavy weaponry could lead to new dangers for the civilian population, demanding attention from the international community and a swift operational response from Ukrainian military forces.
