Russia's Mass Strikes on Ukraine

According to TSN.ua: In the days leading up to the fourth anniversary of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2023, Russia carried out two major combined assaults on Ukraine, employing missiles and drones. These attacks, which occurred on February 21–22, 2023, involved a total of 345 aerial weapons, including 50 missiles and nearly 300 drones. The primary targets were in the regions of Kyiv, Odesa, Kirovohrad, and Poltava.

Ukraine's Armed Forces, particularly its Air Force, managed to intercept and destroy 307 of these incoming aerial threats. Military expert Oleh Zhdanov noted that Russia's overarching goal remains consistent: to render Ukraine uninhabitable. He further emphasized that Russia will not abandon its strategy of regular missile and drone bombardments.

'Russia possesses a stockpile of up to a thousand missiles of various types, enabling it to carry out another massive strike.' - Oleh Zhdanov

A notable feature of these recent attacks was the use of two 'Zircon' missile launches. Oleh Zhdanov pointed out that this demonstrates Russia's capacity for real-time strike adjustments. Based on his assessment, new Russian missile attacks are entirely possible in the coming days. The situation remains tense, with potential to influence the broader trajectory of the conflict. These strikes are part of a sustained campaign of pressure on Ukraine's critical infrastructure and civilian morale.

Russia's Aggressive Strategy

These mass strikes underscore the continuation of Russia's aggressive strategy in Ukraine, which involves deploying advanced weaponry and refining its warfare tactics. With significant missile reserves still available, the likelihood of repeated attacks remains high, forcing Ukrainian forces to maintain a constant state of alert.

The military expert stresses the critical need for ongoing monitoring of the situation, as developments could significantly impact the overall dynamics of the conflict and the security landscape of the region.
