Russian Forces Target Multiple Ukrainian Regions

According to TSN.ua: On February 25, 2023, Russian military forces launched attacks against the Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, employing airstrikes, artillery, and drones. These assaults resulted in civilian casualties and significant damage to infrastructure. This escalation is part of Russia's ongoing campaign to target both military and civilian areas across Ukraine.

In the Zaporizhzhia region alone, 643 strikes hit 32 separate settlements. Four people were killed and two more wounded in the Zaporizhzhia district. The Russian military also carried out 12 airstrikes on these populated areas, launched 401 attacks using various types of drones, and conducted 223 artillery strikes across several towns and villages.

Attacks in Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions

In the Mykolaiv region, the enemy targeted critical and transport infrastructure, though no casualties were reported there. The situation in the Dnipropetrovsk region remains difficult, particularly in the Synelnykivskyi district. There, two civilians were killed and five more wounded in the Pokrovska community. A 61-year-old man was wounded in the Vasylkivska community. Ukrainian Air Defense forces successfully intercepted 95 out of 115 Russian drones that attacked Ukraine that day.

“I appeal to all residents who have refused mandatory evacuation. The threat is extremely serious. No property is worth your life,” stated Mykola Lukashuk.

He also expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a swift recovery to the injured, extending special gratitude to the State Emergency Service (SESU) rescuers working under dangerous conditions:

“Sincere condolences to the families of the victims. A speedy recovery to the injured. And immense gratitude to our SESU rescuers, who are working in such perilous conditions.”

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has launched approximately 13,000 missiles, 88,000 drones, and over 120,500 guided aerial bombs at Ukraine. The situation remains tense, with Ukrainian forces continuing to resist the aggression. The scale of this bombardment highlights the intensity of the conflict, now in its second year.

These events underscore the continued escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, where Russian attacks directly impact civilian lives. Appeals from local officials for evacuation emphasize the severity of the situation and the critical need for safety. Amid constant attacks, the Ukrainian military continues its active defense, demonstrating the resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people in defending their territorial integrity.
