Ukrainian Forces Strike Critical Russian Infrastructure: Radars, Warehouses, and Factories Hit.
Ukrainian Defense Forces Target Russian Occupiers
According to TSN.ua: On February 26, 2023, Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted strikes against high-value Russian military assets within temporarily occupied territories. These precision attacks successfully hit radar installations, logistics depots, and other strategic targets located in Crimea, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Donetsk Oblast, and even Russia's Bryansk Oblast. These strikes represent a concerted effort to degrade Russia's military capabilities deep behind the front lines.
Among the assets struck in Crimea were:
- A P-18 'Terek' radar station
- An RSP-6M2 radar system
Both systems were located near Dzhankoi. Additionally, a material and technical supply warehouse in Novozlatopil was hit, disrupting logistical support for Russian troops. In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a drone command post in the Poltavka area was damaged, which is likely to impair the enemy's reconnaissance and unmanned aerial vehicle operations.
Furthermore, in Russia's Bryansk Oblast, a command and observation post in Yasnoye Solntse was struck. This operation is part of Ukraine's systematic campaign to neutralize key enemy strategic targets.
Previous Strikes and Their Impact
In related actions, the Neftegorsky gas processing plant in Samara Oblast was attacked on February 21, 2023, resulting in damage to critical equipment. Earlier, on February 20, 2023, production workshop No. 22 at the Votkinsk missile plant in Udmurtia was struck. The Votkinsk plant is of strategic importance to Russia, as it manufactures 'Iskander' ballistic missiles and 'Yars' intercontinental ballistic missile systems.
It is also worth noting that previous strikes in Crimea had successfully targeted:
- A launch unit of an S-400 'Triumph' air defense system
- A 'Pantsir-S1' air defense complex
The Ukrainian Defense Forces plan to continue this systematic work of striking strategic enemy targets, signaling an intensification of deep-strike operations within the broader armed conflict.
The systematic strikes by Ukrainian forces against strategic nodes of Russian military infrastructure underscore the ongoing intensity of the conflict. These operations are likely having a significant impact on the enemy's combat capabilities, particularly by disrupting supply chains and command and control.
Given the critical nature of the facilities being targeted, sustained strikes of this kind could substantially influence the course of the conflict in the region.
