People believe they can survive in horror movies
Approximately a third of Britons are confident they could survive in the conditions of a horror movie and defeat its villain. According to a survey conducted among 2000 adults, 34% of respondents believe they could escape from a masked antihero. Moreover, 75% of those surveyed stated that their decision-making speed and survival instincts would help them overcome dangers.According to The Sun: These survey results, commissioned by Nerds, also revealed the most memorable moments and villains in horror movies.
“We believe this shows people's confidence in their abilities in extreme situations,”the researchers commented on the survey results.
This data calls into question how people perceive danger and whether they are truly prepared to act in critical situations. Interestingly, belief in one's own abilities may lead to important reflections on behavior in real life, especially in crisis situations. Perhaps it is worth learning not only to believe in one's own capabilities but also to prepare for real challenges.
