Ukraine Weather Forecast for May 28 from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center

According to Novyny.live: On May 28, Ukraine will experience a significant cooldown accompanied by brief showers, thunderstorms, and strong wind gusts. Overnight temperatures are expected to range from +5 to +10 °C, while daytime highs will reach only +13 to +18 °C. In the southern part of the country, the mercury will be slightly higher: +11 to +16 °C at night and +17 to +22 °C during the day.

Winds will come from the northwest at 7–12 meters per second, with gusts potentially reaching up to 20 meters per second. The cold air mass sweeping in from Scandinavia is the primary driver of this temperature drop. In Kyiv, the daytime high will fall to just +15 °C, marking a notable shift away from recent warmth.

Meteorologist Natalia Didenko noted that 'tomorrow, Ukraine will find itself in the rear of a cold atmospheric front.'

This confirms forecasts calling for scattered rain and thunderstorms across the country. With such volatile conditions, residents should be prepared for sudden weather changes that may include strong winds.

As a result, May 28 will not only bring cooler air but also heightened atmospheric activity that could disrupt daily routines and outdoor plans. The cooldown and potential for brief downpours and thunderstorms may affect everything from outdoor recreation to agricultural work in various regions. Citizens are urged to stay alert to shifting weather patterns, especially given the risk of dangerous wind gusts. Following official meteorological guidance will be key to staying safe during these unsettled conditions.
