Ukraine Grants Full Workforce Deferment to Transformer Manufacturers.
Cabinet Decision on Worker Deferments
According to TSN.ua: The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has approved a measure allowing 100% of employees at transformer equipment manufacturing plants to be deferred from military service during the ongoing energy emergency. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the decision, stressing its critical importance for maintaining uninterrupted production. This move comes as Ukraine's energy grid faces severe strain from targeted attacks.
Revised Criteria for Critical Company Status
The government has also streamlined the process for designating a company as critically important, reducing the number of required criteria from three to two. This revision was made as part of amendments to Resolution No. 76. Furthermore, the Cabinet has approved a new deferment mechanism via the "Diia" portal, which is expected to simplify the application process for businesses.
Prime Minister Svyrydenko emphasized that this policy is designed to retain highly specialized engineers and ensure the stable operation of energy equipment under challenging conditions. The government is thereby aiming to bolster key industrial sectors during the current crisis.
These steps highlight the government's efforts to ensure stability in vital economic sectors, particularly amid the energy crisis. The simplified deferment process through the "Diia" portal also reflects a broader push toward digitalization and the optimization of administrative procedures, which is crucial for supporting Ukrainian industry.
