The star of the series Vice Principals has passed away: what is known about the actress's death.
According to The Sun: Actress Kimberly Haybert Gregory passed away at the age of 52, confirmed by her ex-husband.
The star from Houston, Texas, was best known for her role as the school principal Dr. Belinda Brown in the HBO sitcom of 2016, and she died on Friday.
HBO GettyKimberly also played the role of Ms. Davori in the series 'The Big Bang Theory', Deborah Curzon in 'Grey's Anatomy', and Kira Hay in 'Better Call Saul'.
She appeared in the Showtime drama 'The Chi' and the romantic film 'Five Feet Apart' in 2019.
Her notable roles also include 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', 'Two and a Half Men', and 'Gossip Girl'.
“Kimberly Haybert Gregory, you were the embodiment of genius,” wrote her ex-husband Chester Gregory on Instagram.
Gregory, with whom Kimberly had a son, mentioned that her spirit will live on through their child and thanked her for the lessons she gave them.
“You taught us courage, artistry, resilience, and how to keep fighting, even when life demanded more than one should,” he wrote.
“As much as I want us to meet again, love, respect, and connection remain unchanged.”
“You were not just an ex-wife, you were my friend. Our son, the song we wrote together, is a living echo of your light.”
“Thanks to him, your genius will never fade. Thanks to him, your laughter will always resonate.”
“Thank you, Kimberly, for every chapter we shared. Your story was never defined by struggle, but by the beauty you carried within.”

The cause of death has not been revealed.
Colleague from 'Vice Principals' Walton Goggins called his collaboration with her “a true force,” whose energy will be remembered.
“We lost one of the best yesterday... one of the best I’ve ever worked with. Kimberly Haybert Gregory,” he said.
“I had the honor... the luck to know her, to spend a few months working with this queen on Vice Principals. She made me laugh more than anyone.”
“You will be missed, my friend.”
Another star of 'Vice Principals' Busy Phillips reacted to the news on Instagram, expressing her “devastation.”
“She was a light and a force,” the actress wrote.
Kimberly was born in Houston in December 1972 and debuted her acting career in theater in the 1990s.
She then transitioned to film and television, with her first film role appearing in 'I Think I Love My Wife' in 2007.
That same year, she was part of the television crime drama 'The Black Donnellys'.
