Late Millennials Bought a House for $15,000: How They Live in a Village After the City

According to ТСН: A couple decided to radically change their life: they left their apartment in the city and moved to the village of Pavlivka, not far from Ivano-Frankivsk. Here they bought a small old house without renovation, located next to a forest, for $15,000.

The couple shared their story on their TikTok account 'Didukh home'.

Decision and Reconstruction

The homeowners, who call themselves 'late millennials', admitted that their decision was spontaneous. Although they had no experience in construction, they were eager to create their own cozy space. For six months they have been working on the reconstruction of the house and admit that doubts sometimes arose. However, they are confident that, despite the huge amount of work, their decision was right.

'There is a lot of work and expenses, but step by step we are doing it together. So did we regret it? Absolutely not. Although the amount of work and money sometimes scares us a lot. But we have already set out on this path and we definitely won’t go back,' said the author.

Discussion on TikTok

Under the video about their move, a lively discussion began on TikTok. One commenter asked about the price of such housing, noting that in his region, the minimum prices start at $15,000 for a house in poor condition. The authors confirmed that they paid exactly that much for their home along with the land plot.

It is worth noting that a 42-year-old resident of Italy filed a lawsuit against a restaurant after a promotional video on TikTok exposed his betrayal without his consent and led to a divorce.

This story illustrates how ordinary people can change their lives by stepping away from urban lifestyles. Transitioning from a city apartment to a cozy village can be not only spontaneous but also inspiring. Many young people, seeking new opportunities and a lifestyle, dare to take similar steps, finding happiness and peace in it.
