Frontline Update: Zaporizhzhia Sector

According to Espreso.tv: Oleksandr Kurbatov, head of communications for the 128th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade 'Dyke Pole,' provided an assessment of the situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction. According to him, the enemy has suffered severe casualties while intensifying the use of FPV drones to strike Zaporizhzhia. In May, the net gain of liberated territory over lost ground was nearly +100 square kilometers in Ukraine's favor.

This sector represents a critical defensive line, where the adversary is attempting attacks from the direction of the Kakhovka Reservoir bed. Kurbatov noted that along the segment held by the 128th Brigade, the enemy has experienced extremely heavy losses.

“On our stretch, the enemy has sustained major losses,” Kurbatov emphasized, adding that “these losses are quite substantial.”

Kurbatov also remarked that recent troop replenishments among the opposing forces amount to little more than “new people for the occupiers.” He praised his own troops, stating that “the unit’s fighters are acting very skillfully and competently.” These comments reflect the situation on the front lines and underscore the effectiveness of Ukrainian military operations against the aggressor.

Current Situation

Tensions remain high in the Zaporizhzhia sector, as this region holds strategic importance for both sides of the conflict. The loss of territory and the significant toll on the enemy point to ongoing intense combat, despite the adversary’s efforts to reinforce its positions. Continued support for Ukrainian troops could shape future developments in this key area, which is vital for overall stability and security in Ukraine.
