Fortifications are being built in the Kharkiv region and preparations are underway for the defense of the cities

In the Kharkiv region, the construction of fortifications and the preparation for the circular defense of the cities of Izium and Balakliya are ongoing. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, during a telethon.

Synegubov explained that these are planned measures being taken to consider the actual front line, possibly its shift in the direction of enemy movement and, in general, its priorities on the front line.

«Therefore, of course, on the agenda is the construction of fortifications, circular defense of the city of Balakliya and the city of Izium,» he explained.

Some of the work is being carried out by the military themselves.

«I will just say this, that the work is proceeding as planned and is fully controlled by our military,» added the head of the OVA.

Tense situation at the front

In total, since the beginning of the previous day, there have been 125 combat clashes. Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel attempts by the enemy to advance deeper into our territory, inflicting fire damage on them.

The situation in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhiv, and Vremiv directions remains tense – the enemy is concentrating its main offensive efforts there.

The enemy has reported to the population. The city of Shyrokyne has suffered another rocket and 26 aerial strikes from enemy forces. Our troops clashed with the opponents. We inflicted significant losses on them.
