Ukrainian Dmytro Kotovskyi became the first Ukrainian to win an award in this season's World Cup in ski acrobatics. This was reported on the official website of the Ukrainian Ski Sports Federation.

Kotovskyi took third place in the qualification with a score of 99.63 points. In the super final, he performed a triple somersault with four twists and received 115.49 points, securing him second place.

Important facts about Kotovskyi's medal:

  • This medal is the first award for Ukraine in this season's World Cup in ski acrobatics;
  • For Kotovskyi, this is already the second medal in Deer Valley. He also performed his signature jump 'Hurricane' for the first Time at this stage;
  • Kotovskyi has now become a champion or medalist of the World Cup for the sixth time. He has previously won in Deer Valley and Engadin;
  • In total, this is the seventh high-level medal for Kotovskyi, who also won bronze at the World Championship;

The next stage of the World Cup in ski acrobatics will take place in Beidahu, China on February 23-24.
