Visit to Zaporizhzhia to assess the living conditions of IDPs

The Deputy Ministers of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine visited Zaporizhzhia to assess the living conditions of internally displaced persons. The transit center in the city is ready to provide necessary assistance to those who have left their homes.

Overview of the transit center services

The center offers various services such as registration, document recovery, temporary housing, and basic support. The Ministry of Social Policy emphasizes the importance of supporting vulnerable groups in this process.

“The focus is on supporting IDPs. The conditions in the transit center are adequate. This helps a person stabilize their situation in the initial stages after evacuation. We also visited temporary accommodation places. It is nice that the local authorities work with the central authorities in the same direction, and we hear each other,”
said Tetyana Kiriyenko.

Creating comfortable conditions for pets

The Deputy Minister also drew attention to the importance of creating conditions for pets in transit centers. The process of regulating this issue has already begun to ensure the possibility of living with animals in every temporary accommodation.

Caring for the interests of people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, as well as their pets, is an important indicator of humanity and support for citizens' needs in crisis situations.

This visit underscores that the state is ready to respond to the challenges faced by displaced persons and provide them with the necessary assistance. It is important that the adaptation process for people who have lost their homes is as comfortable as possible, including ensuring conditions for their four-legged friends. This reflects a humane approach to solving social problems in Ukraine amid the war.
