IMF gave a forecast on Ukraine's economic growth.
According to the IMF's forecasts, Ukraine's economy will grow by 3.0% by the end of 2024, but next year this indicator will decrease to 2.5%.
These data are contained in the "World Economic Outlook" (WEO) report, which was obtained by Ukrinform.
In the section concerning European economies, it is indicated that in 2024 Ukraine's real GDP will be 3.0%. This is 0.2 percentage points lower than forecasted by the Fund back in April.
The IMF also downgraded Ukraine's GDP forecast for 2025 - from 6.5% in April to 2.5% in the current WEO release.
However, the GDP figure for the previous year was revised and increased to 5.3% compared to the 5.0% expected earlier.
Predictions for other indicators were also noted. The consumer price index in Ukraine may decrease from 12.9 in 2023 to 5.8 in the current year. In 2024, it is expected to rise to 9.0.
Ukraine's current account balance will change from -5.4 last year to -8.1 now. In 2025, this indicator may reach -14.3.
The unemployment rate will decrease from 19.1 in 2023 to 14.2 in 2024. Next year it is expected to decrease to 12.7.
