The Russian military carried out an airstrike on the Sveska community in the Shostka district. There are casualties. This is reported by the regional military administration.

The occupiers dropped a guided aerial bomb on a multi-storey residential building. One entrance has been destroyed. A rescue operation is currently underway. It is likely that people may be trapped under the rubble.

According to preliminary information, there are two injured children and one adult.

As of 17:05, according to the National Police of Ukraine, there are known injuries of two two-year-old children and three local residents. The one-entrance apartment building has suffered significant damage.

Earlier, as a result of the attack on the Shostka community in the Sumy region, 12 multi-storey residential buildings were damaged. Two educational institutions and other social facilities were also affected.

On December 26, Russian occupiers launched mass strikes in Sumy and other settlements in the region. This led to fires and destruction in various cities. There are also known cases of fatalities.

It should be noted that enemy propaganda is trying to present its intentions as a fact, claiming that there was a 'breakthrough across the border in Sumy region and the capture of a border village'. In fact, it was an attempt by a sabotage and reconnaissance group to invade Ukrainian territory, but they were intercepted by operators of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 10. This was reported on the official channel of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine.

The surviving enemy troops were forced to flee to the Russian side of the border. The Special Operations Forces operators pursued and neutralized them. The entire process can be seen in the video.

Claims that Russian troops managed to infiltrate Ukrainian territory in the settlement of Oleksandriya in Sumy region are untrue. This is reported by the Sumy regional military administration. The press service stated that reports of crossing the border, which are being spread via media, are hostile disinformation. Furthermore, the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, said on a television broadcast that the area where the occupiers were supposed to enter is marshy. Therefore, it will be difficult for both Ukrainian and Russian forces to hold positions if the occupiers manage to infiltrate there.
