Ukrainian scientists have published an exciting video shot with a drone during a flight over Mount Demaria on the Antarctic continent. This mountain is located just 8 km away from the Ukrainian polar station 'Akademik Verkhandsky' on Galindez Island.

In the video, you can see an impressive ceremonial structure with its peaks and valleys, which looks both threatening and beautiful at the same Time. It resembles a landscape from a children's fairy tale or a fantasy action movie.

This mountain is located directly on the Antarctic continent. In favorable weather, polar explorers can even see it from the windows of the polar station, said the National Antarctic Scientific Center.

This mountain is relatively low - 635 meters, but it is known for its steep slopes. There are available climbing and extreme skiing routes for tourists.

Ukrainian polar explorers use Mount Demaria for research, collecting samples of plants and soils there.

The name Demaria was given to this mountain by participants of the French Antarctic expedition of 1903-05, in honor of the Demaria brothers - French developers of the photographic lens used during the expedition, the scientific center reported.

In 1983, archaeologists were excavating in caves in South Africa and discovered an unusual femur belonging to an unknown antelope that existed about 7,000 years ago.

X-ray examination of the bone revealed three arrowheads made of bone inside the marrow cavity. This discovery raised more questions than answers.
