Russian Forces Advance Near Kup'yansk – ISW Maps.
According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian forces were unable to attack many areas of Ukraine, except for Kup'yansk.
UAF Operation in Kursk
On February 4, Russian forces continued to attack Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region, but did not make any advances. The occupiers continued to shell in various directions, but to no avail.
A militant stated that Russian forces failed to capture Makhnivka due to the actions of Ukrainian drones and weather conditions. The militant also noted that the enemy may reattempt to attack Makhnivka when conditions become more favorable.
Kharkiv Region
On February 4, Russian forces continued their attack in the Kharkiv region, but without any advances. They attempted to advance in various directions but were unsuccessful.
Luhansk Region
On February 4, Russian forces managed to advance in the Kup'yansk area. They also conducted offensive operations in other directions but without significant success.
Donetsk Region
On February 4, Russian forces continued their advance in the Siever direction but without any progress. They also attempted to advance in various areas but faced resistance from Ukrainian forces.
In other areas of Donetsk, Russian forces also conducted offensive actions, but they were unable to achieve victory.
South
On February 4, Russian forces continued their attack in the Zaporizhzhia direction but without any advancement. They also conducted limited offensive operations in the Zaporizhzhia region but without success.
Russian forces also failed to advance in the Dnipro direction, despite limited attacks in the Kherson area.
