The number of civil servants in Ukraine has decreased.

The number of civil servants in Ukraine has decreased by 2% and 4.5 thousand positions

According to the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service, the number of civil servants in Ukraine has decreased by 2% to 4.5 thousand positions. The actual number of working civil servants is 156,276.

According to the staffing schedule, the total number of civil service positions is 192,172, while the number of vacant positions is 31,167.

The trend of reducing the number of civil servants is increasing. In the fourth quarter of 2024, their number was reduced by 1,443, which is a larger figure than 372 in the third quarter.

There is also an increase in the number of abolished civil service positions according to the staffing schedule. In the fourth quarter, this figure was 4,524 compared to 1,942 in the previous quarter.

"During the fourth quarter, the number of vacant civil service positions decreased by 2,131 compared to 1,547 in the previous period. The negative trend in the reduction of the number of men in civil service continues. In the fourth quarter, their number became approximately 2% less than the total number (639 people). While in the third quarter, this figure was reduced by 413," said the National Agency for Civil Service.

U.S. President Donald Trump signed five orders appointing special representatives of the U.S. on various issues, including the appointment of Keith Kellogg as the special representative for Ukraine and Russia.

"We have made significant progress regarding Russia and Ukraine. We'll see what happens. But significant progress has been made. We must stop this senseless war," said Trump while signing the order and communicating with journalists.

Earlier, Keith Kellogg stated that the United States wants elections to be held in Ukraine, possibly by the end of the year, especially if Kyiv can agree on a ceasefire with Russia in the coming months.
