The Ukrainian president emphasized the necessity of a just peace with clear security guarantees and highlighted the role of international support in this process.
'Peace is needed by all of us. A just peace with clear security guarantees. Together with the leadership of the USA and all of Europe, this is absolutely achievable,' he noted.
Zelensky also expressed gratitude to the British Prime Minister for the support during a difficult Time for Ukraine. 'Thank you for the advice and support during this challenging time. We will always remember everything the British people have done for Ukrainians and our shared security,' the president added.
The conversation with the British Prime Minister took place in the context of concerns regarding the future of American assistance to Ukraine. Earlier today, in his address on the 1105th day of the full-scale war, Zelensky instructed the Minister of Defense, heads of intelligence, and diplomats to obtain official information from American colleagues regarding the prospects for further support.
During the address, the president also reported on negotiations with other European leaders, including the President of Finland, the Prime Ministers of Greece and Croatia, the NATO Secretary General, as well as the leader of the German CDU party, Friedrich Merz.
Additionally, Zelensky announced an important decision by the European Commission regarding the allocation of funds to strengthen defense, which will allow Ukraine to receive additional air defense systems to protect cities and towns.
