Increased pensions for 10 million Ukrainian pensioners
Ukrainian pensioners will receive increased payments starting from March 1. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The pension indexation will be 11.5% and will affect over 10 million pensioners. The head of state made this statement during his evening address on March 5. Zelensky urged the Pension Fund and the authorities to be attentive to the needs of pensioners and provide them with assistance.
'Starting from March 1, Ukraine will traditionally carry out pension indexation – this year by 11.5%. Overall, now, in March, over ten million pensioners will receive increased payments,' Zelensky noted.
The President also reported on the work towards a meeting between the Ukrainian and American teams. Negotiations between the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and the US representative Michael Volz have already taken place. Zelensky hopes for the first results next week.
'There is positive movement. We hope for the first results next week,' the president emphasized.
In his address, the president also highlighted the soldiers who made a significant contribution to the struggle for peace. In particular, for their actions in Donetsk region in the Novopavlivka direction and in Kursk. Zelensky also spoke about negotiations with representatives from the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, and Germany regarding Ukraine's international activities.
The president stressed the importance of resuming movement towards Ukraine's European integration.
