Anna Novosad
Anna Novosad - Minister of Science and Education of Ukraine (2019-2020), Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Date of birth: 28.07.1990.
Place of birth. Education. Anna Ihorivna Novosad was born on July 28, 1990 in Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region. In 2007, she graduated from the Ukrainian Humanities Lyceum of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2011, she received a bachelor's degree in political science from the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. In 2013, she obtained a Master's degree in European Studies from Maastricht University (Netherlands).
Career. Since March 2014, she worked at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. She served as an advisor to the Minister of Education and Science, Serhiy Kvit. From November 2014 to December 2017, she headed the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Education and Science. In 2017, she was appointed as the Director-General of the Directorate of Strategic Planning and European Integration.
Political activity. In the 2019 parliamentary elections, she was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Servant of the People party. On August 29, 2019, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers, and Anna Novosad was appointed as the Minister of Science and Education of Ukraine. On March 4, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the resignation of Oleksiy Honcharuk as Prime Minister, which led to the resignation of the entire government.
