Up to 58 hryvnias: how egg prices differ in supermarkets and markets in Kyiv and Odesa.
Prices for chicken eggs in supermarkets and markets in Ukraine
According to the Minfin portal, the cost of large retail networks and markets in Ukraine varies significantly.
In supermarkets in Kyiv and Odesa, the average price for a dozen eggs of the Kvochka brand is 38.90 hryvnias. The Yasensvit brand is sold slightly more expensive - for 40.13 hryvnias per dozen. 30 eggs of the same brand cost 122.20 hryvnias.
It is important to note that egg prices may vary in different supermarkets. For example, in Auchan, Yasensvit eggs are sold for 38.90 hryvnias per dozen, while in MegaMarket the price is 41.50 hryvnias per dozen.
At the Stolichny market, prices for chicken eggs also vary. For a dozen eggs of grade C1, you can pay from 28.00 to 32.00 hryvnias, while grade C1 will cost from 33.00 to 38.00 hryvnias per dozen. The price for eggs of grade СB starts from 40.00 to 42.00 hryvnias per dozen.
At the Odesa market 'Pochatok', the cost of table eggs ranges from 30 hryvnias to 58.00 hryvnias. There are also 'young' eggs at a minimum price of 30 hryvnias. And giant eggs are sold from 52.00 to 58.00 hryvnias.
