Investors urged the government to enhance the effectiveness of the existing conditions for supporting green energy.
Investors call for improving the quality of legislation enforcement regarding the support of green energy
The Ukrainian Wind Energy Association calls on the government and experts to improve the quality of legislation enforcement regarding the support of green energy instead of changing the conditions for supporting the sector. Investors believe that the proposed solutions in the USAID Green Book do not guarantee a positive outcome for the sector. They emphasize the importance of payment discipline and the periodic update of the transmission tariff rate for the company 'Ukrenergo'. Investors do not support the changes to the support mechanism for the renewable energy sector proposed by experts. UWEA has appealed to the relevant authorities, urging them not to amend the existing support mechanism.
The debt of NEC 'Ukrenergo' to the state enterprise 'Guaranteed Buyer' for the service of increasing electricity production from renewable energy sources has exceeded 30 billion hryvnias. Experts and investors urge the government to prevent the accumulation of debts by 'Ukrenergo'.
