Russian forces during the shelling of the city of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region destroyed the cultural center, where the office of the Maryinsky district organization of the Red Cross of Ukraine was located. This was reported by the organization's press service.
As a result of the attack, technical and material assets were destroyed, but employees and volunteers were not injured.
«We categorically condemn violations of international humanitarian law, shelling of civilian objects and humanitarian organizations», – said the message.
In Donetsk region, the occupiers struck the vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross humanitarian mission.
After this, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced the suspension of the office in Dnipro.
It is worth noting that the International Federation of the Red Cross refused to expel the organization of the Russian Red Cross from its membership. Ukraine plans to appeal to the organization's donors regarding this decision.
