Yuri Vilanovich Yakimenko - President of the Razumkov Center

Date of Birth: 01.01.1967

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Chernihiv. In 1991, he graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Faculty of Philosophy).

In 1994, he completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Manchester (UK) with a focus on political theory. In 1995, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with a focus on social philosophy (1995).

Doctor of Political Science (2013), author of more than 40 scientific works and over 200 publications in the media.

Career. 1991-1995 - Work in the Ukrainian Association of Afghanistan Veterans.

From 1995 to 2002, he worked in the administration of the President of Ukraine in positions of senior, chief advisor, department head, and deputy head of the Main Department for Internal Policy.

Last position in public service - Deputy Head of the Analysis and Planning Department of the Main Department for Internal Policy of the Administration of the President of Ukraine.

Since April 2002 - Senior Expert of the Razumkov Center.

Since May 2005 - Director for Political and Legal Programs of the Razumkov Center.

Since November 2011 - Deputy General Director for Analytical Work - Director for Political and Legal Programs of the Razumkov Center.

Editor-in-Chief of the journal 'National Security and Defense'.
