Place of Birth. Education. Born in the city of Dobropillia, Donetsk Oblast. In 1985, he graduated from the Donetsk Military Engineering Institute of Troops and Communications. In 1996, he received education at the National Academy of Law of Ukraine named after Yaroslav the Wise in the field of Law.

Career. 1985-1986 - Deputy Commander of a platoon of the political department of a military unit in Turkmenistan.

1986-1990 - Deputy Commander of a military unit of the political department in Hungary.

1990-1991 - Instructor, political organizer of the ideological department of the Communist Party of Ukraine in Donetsk.

1991-1992 - Lawyer of the Donetsk Railway, lawyer, broker of the 'Variant' company in Donetsk.

1992-1994 - Lawyer, Managing Director, Deputy General Director of LLC 'Legal Company INYUR' (Donetsk).

1994-1995 - Lawyer of the Tax Office of the Kalininsky District of Donetsk.

1995-1996 - Intern of the Prosecutor's office of the Donetsk Oblast, passed the qualification exam for admission as a lawyer.

1996-1998 - Head of the Legal Department of the AVK Confectionery Factory in Donetsk.

2006-2007 - Deputy of the Ukrainian Parliament of the V convocation of the Party of Regions (No. 101 on the electoral list), Chairman of the Subcommittee for the Formation of the Judiciary in the Justice Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.

From February to November 2007 - First Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine under Oleksandr Lavrynovych.

In the early parliamentary elections of 2007, he was re-elected to the Verkhovna Rada on the list of the Party of Regions (No. 130). Deputy Chairman of the Justice Committee.

In the autumn of 2012, he unsuccessfully ran for the Verkhovna Rada of the VII convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 114).

Social Activities. Deputy of the Donetsk Regional Council (1998-2004), member of the Qualification Commission of Judges of Donetsk Oblast (1998-2004). Member of the Supreme Council of Justice (since March 2007). Member of the Party of Regions.
