Demidko Włodzimierz

Date of birth: 12.02.1952
Place of birth, education. Born in Donetsk. In 1980, graduated from the Moscow Mining Institute with a specialty in technology and comprehensive development of mineral deposits.
Career. 1970-1973 - worker, installer, mining master of the Donieckugol enterprise.
1973-1987 - engineer of technical management, chief engineer of Minugleprom of the USSR, assistant to the minister of coal industry of the USSR.
1987-1991 - assistant to the general director of the Donetsk State Coal Production Association, assistant head of Glavdonieckugol, chief engineer of the Donetsk Region Management of the Main State Technical Supervision of the USSR.
1991-1995 - chief engineer, deputy director for production of the K. Pocheńkowa coal mine of PO Makiyivugol.
1995-1998 - chief engineer of the Donetsk Scientific Center of the Academy of Mining Sciences of Ukraine.
1998-2000 - chairman of the Donetsk Regional Branch of the Liberal Party of Ukraine.
2000-2005 - head of the department for internal policy, deputy head of the Donetsk regional administration (until November 2002, the governor of Donetsk was Viktor Yanukovych).
2005-2006 - head of the apparatus of the Regional Branch of the Party of Regions of Donetsk.
In August-September 2006 - first deputy head of Prime Minister Yanukovych's Service (the Service was headed by Sergey Lovochkin).
2006-2007 - deputy to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 5th convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 201 on the election list). Chairman of the subcommittee for control over the implementation of state programs of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Health Protection.
2007-2012 - deputy to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 6th convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 170 on the list). Chairman of the subcommittee on regulations of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Regulations, Deputy Ethics, and Ensuring the Activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
In April 2010, he was elected as the deputy leader of the Party of Regions (at that time, the party leader was Mykola Azarov, and Yanukovych received the honorary position of chairman of the PR).
2012-2014 - deputy to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 7th convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 28 on the list). Member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Regulations, Deputy Ethics, and Ensuring the Activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Member of the Audit Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
On January 16, 2014, he voted for 'dictatorship laws' - a package of anti-democratic laws significantly limiting citizens' rights and freedom of speech.
Social activity. From September 2006 to December 2007 - advisor to Prime Minister Yanukovych. From March 2010 - advisor to President Yanukovych.
Family. Wife Liubov Demidko (1950). Sons Dmytro (1974) and Yevhen (1981).
Death. Passed away on November 10, 2015, at the age of 64 after a long illness.
