The European Union (EU) — is a political and economic union established to strengthen peace, economic stability, and cooperation among European countries. At the time of writing, the EU includes 27 member states that have voluntarily united for common goals.

For Ukraine, EU news is equally important. Ukrainians are aiming to obtain membership status in the union. However, the latest news from the EU shows the challenging path that awaits Ukraine.

In the context of recent news, it is important to mention the UK's exit from the EU, which became a historical event in 2020. After long negotiations, the country officially left the union, which affected economic and migration ties between the UK and the EU.

The war in Ukraine has also become significant for the EU. Since 2022, the EU has been actively supporting the country by imposing sanctions against Russia, providing humanitarian and military aid, as well as discussing Ukraine's possible membership in the EU.

Furthermore, the European Green Deal has become a priority for the EU. The goal is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Measures are being implemented to reduce emissions, shift to renewable energy sources, and develop a 'green' economy.
