Biography of Lilia Frolova
Date of Birth: 08.07.1968
Place of Birth. Education. Born in Zaporizhzhia. In 1994, she graduated from the Ukrainian State Law Academy (distance learning).
Career. From 1985 to 1999, she worked in companies and organizations in Zaporizhzhia in positions related to economic and legal activities.
From July 1999 to February 2000, she was the assistant to the environmental prosecutor of the Zaporizhzhia inter-district.
From February to December 2001, she was the assistant and senior assistant to the district prosecutor of Ordzhonikidze Zaporizhzhia.
From December 2001 to March 2004, she was the senior prosecutor of the department for law enforcement by the tax militia in conducting operational and investigative activities of pre-trial investigations and investigations of the Zaporizhzhia region prosecutor's office.
From March to August 2004, she was the acting senior assistant of the prosecutor of the Zaporizhzhia region overseeing compliance and application of laws in the transport sector.
From August 2004 to May 2007, she was the head of the department monitoring compliance with laws by the tax militia in conducting operational and investigative activities of pre-trial investigations and investigations of the Zaporizhzhia region prosecutor's office.
From May 2007 to April 2010, she was the head of the department supporting the state prosecution in courts of the Zaporizhzhia region prosecutor's office.
Since April 2010 at the central office of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine: in positions as deputy head of the department supporting the state prosecution in courts of the profile of the main administration of the GPU and as deputy head of the department for procedural guidance of pre-trial investigations and support of the state prosecution of the main administration for the investigation of particularly important cases of the GPU.
On March 22, 2012, she was appointed as Deputy Attorney General by the decree of the Attorney General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka. Frolova was entrusted with responsibility for international legal issues of the GPU, access to public information, and other areas of prosecutorial oversight.
On February 26, 2014, the acting Attorney General Oleg Mahnitsky dismissed Deputy Attorney General Lilia Frolova.
Timoshenko Criminal Case. Lilia Frolova's name became known to the general public through her role as state prosecutor in the cases against former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko - over the gas deals between Ukraine and Russia and the murder of MP Yevhen Shcherban.
