Date of Birth: 09.09.1979

Place of Birth, Education. Born in Nikolskiy, a district center of the Lviv region. 1996-2000 - Student at the Lviv Automobile Road College. In 2006, he graduated from the School of Commerce (SGН) in Warsaw, specializing in Banking and Finance (Qualification - Economist). Until the age of 30, he bore the surname Korovitsyn.

Career. 2006-2007 and 2007-2010 - Assistant to the Ukrainian MP of the Party of Regions, Taras Chornovil.

On March 17, 2010, he was appointed Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations and Protection of the Population from the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster by Nestor Shufrich.

After Chornovil, German heads a specially established department dealing with safety issues along the line of the Ministry of Emergencies in the cities hosting Euro-2012 (Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Donetsk).

On November 25, 2010, he was dismissed by decree of President Viktor Yanukovych. Yanukovych accepted German's resignation under Article 31 of the Ukrainian Law on Public Service (i.e., due to a personal written request from the official). According to Anna German, her son made this decision due to the appointment of Viktor Baloga as the new head of the Ministry of Emergencies.

Family Ties. Mother - Anna German, Deputy of the VII Congress of the Party of Regions.

Death. On September 17, 2015, Nikolai German died of a heart attack.
