Grishko Vladimir

Place of Birth. Education. Resident of Kyiv. In 1982 he graduated from the Kyiv State Music School named after Glier (folk instruments, vocals, head of the amateur orchestra of folk instruments). In 1989 he graduated from the Kyiv State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (solo singing, opera and concert singer, teacher).
Besides Ukrainian and Russian, the singer is fluent in English and Italian.
Career. 1979-1982 - Teacher at the Music School No. 23 in Kyiv.
1982-1986 - Artist of the choir of the ensemble for song and dance of the Kyiv military district (with a 'break' for service in the ranks of the armed forces of the USSR).
1986-1988 - Artist of the 'Soviet Song' ensemble of the Kyiv State Philharmonic.
1988-1990 - Soloist-intern, soloist of the opera of the Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet of the USSR.
1989-1991 - Assistant intern at the Kyiv State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
1990-1999 - Soloist of the opera of the Kyiv Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after T. Shevchenko.

From October 2006 to October 2009 - Vladimir Grishko - Advisor to the President of Ukraine. The singer shares not only professional but also friendly relations with Viktor Yushchenko. As the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, the current former president was the godfather of his future advisor's son. Vladimir Grishko actively supported the opposition candidate Yushchenko in the presidential election campaign of 2004 and during the 'Orange Revolution'. As an advisor to the president, he advocated for a patronage law that would encourage wealthy individuals to contribute more actively to the development of art and culture through certain tax benefits.
Since 2006 to the present - Professor at the National Music Academy named after P. I. Tchaikovsky of the chair of solo singing.
In the spring of 2007, he presented his new project 'The Face of the New Opera' at the National Opera and Ballet Theater, in which he transformed classical music into a modern show with hip-hop and stilt dance. He then toured this project through the cities of Ukraine.
In December 2011, a concert of Vladimir Grishko and Montserrat Caballé took place at the National Palace 'Ukraine'.
In December 2011, the debut of Vladimir Grishko as an entertainment singer took place, presenting his first entertainment album 'Strange Paradise' and the music video for the song 'Unexplained'.
In April 2013, Vladimir Grishko was appointed an honorary member of the jury of the international singing competition 'Classical Old Romance' in London, UK. That same year, Vladimir released two entertainment albums - 'Unexplained' and 'Please'.
In 2013, he was the choir coach from Kyiv in the TV project 'Battle of the Choirs' on the 1 + 1 channel.
In 2015, Vladimir Grishko successfully completed a concert tour through China and Europe, in addition to concerts, he conducted singing workshops for young opera and entertainment artists.
Since 2006, he has been teaching at NMAU (in 2019 he received the title of professor). Among the graduates of V. Grishko is Andrey Kimach. In 2018, he founded the private educational institution 'Academy of Arts of Vladimir Grishko'.
Awards. People's Artist of Ukraine (1996). Laureate of the National Taras Shevchenko Prize and several prestigious competitions. Awarded the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 5th class (2005). In March 2006, V. Grishko was awarded the 3rd rank of the state servant.
In 2014, the name of the singer was included in the book of records of Ukraine as a Ukrainian opera singer who sang lead roles in the 'Metropolitan Opera' 44 times from 1994 to 2008.
As an opera tenor, he is known far beyond the borders of Ukraine, spent a lot of time abroad, performing in the best opera venues in the world. He maintains friendly relations with the prima donna of the global opera stage, Montserrat Caballé.
