Place of Birth. Education. Born in pgt Rozdol, Lviv Oblast. In 1972, graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute (Energy Engineering). Doctor of Economic Sciences (2000). Defended a dissertation on the topic 'Problems of Development and Placement of Nuclear Energy in Ukraine'.

Career. 1972-1995 - Engineer, Head of the Enterprise Sector of Lvivenergo. From 1978 to 1980, worked as an expert at the nuclear power plant in Czechoslovakia.

1995-1998 - Deputy Chairman of the Board of the state joint-stock company for energy supply Lvivoblenergo.

1998-2002 - Member of the Ukrainian Parliament in the III Congress. Member of the faction of the Ukrainian National Movement (UNR). Chairman of the Committee of the Parliament of Ukraine on issues of the fuel and energy complex, nuclear policy, and nuclear safety. Since 2000, a member of the state commission for the comprehensive resolution of issues related to the liquidation of Chernobyl and a member of the supervisory board of Naftogaz Ukraine.

2002-2006 - Member of the Ukrainian Parliament in the IV Congress. Until March 2005, a member of the faction of Viktor Yushchenko's Block Our Ukraine, then a member of the faction of the Ukrainian People's Party (UNP). Chairman of the Subcommittee on issues of the gas industry of the Committee on TEC, nuclear policy, and nuclear safety.

2007-2012 - Member of the Ukrainian Parliament in the sixth Congress of the People's Party on the list. Member of the TEC Committee, nuclear policy, and nuclear safety of the Congress.

Public Activity. Founder and Coordinator of the Public Energy Committee of the Lviv Regional Council (1992), founding member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Galicia Recovery Cooperative Fund (1994), co-founder of the Consumers Association of People's Trade (1995), founder and president of the Ukrainian Energy Union (1999), founder and chairman of the Council of the Journal Energy Policy of Ukraine (2000), Deputy of the Lviv Regional Council (2006-2007).

In the 1980s and 1990s, Gudyma was a member of the Ukrainian People's Party, headed the regional organization of Ukrainians, and was part of the Presidium of the Central Council. At the beginning of the 2000s, he became a member of the UNR, which was later renamed the Ukrainian People's Party. From 2005 to 2007, he was the Deputy Chairman of the UNP Yuri Kostenko. Since March 2007, he has been a member of Batkivschyna (Leader - Yulia Tymoshenko).

Awards. Recipient of the Order 'For Merit' II Degree (2005).

Family. Wife Maria Gudyma (born 1952, engineer). Sons Yuri (born 1978, lawyer) and Andrey (born 1979).
