In July 2013, he was awarded the title of 'Honorary Citizen of Yenakiieve' for 'a significant contribution to the spiritual and literary development of Yenakiieve, active social activity'.

Wealth. Experts from Focus magazine estimated the deputy's wealth at $102.3 million, which placed him 108th in the top 200 richest people in Ukraine. In February 2014, photos of one of the largest residences in Koncha-Zaspa covering an area of 8,000 m2 on a 35-hectare lot were published, which Juri Iwantschenko had built. In 2011, Juri Iwantschenko ranked third in the list of the TOP-100 most influential people in Ukraine by Korrespondent magazine. Criminal prosecution. At the end of January 2015, Iwantschenko was put on the wanted list by the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Prosecutor General's Office suspected him of organizing the embezzlement of foreign property and illegal enrichment on a particularly large scale according to the articles of the Ukrainian Criminal Code: Paragraph 3 Art. 27 (Types of accomplices), Paragraph 5 Art. 191 of the Criminal Code (Appropriation, embezzlement of property on a particularly large scale), Paragraph 3 Art. 368 (Acceptance of an offer, promise, or receipt of unjustified benefits by officials).

From the perspective of law enforcement, he disappeared on December 15, 2014. Interior Minister Arsen Avakov stated that Iwantschenko had organized and financed 'titushki', who in February 2014 kidnapped, beat, and killed activists of Euromaidan.

In January, a Ukrainian court imposed a seizure of Iwantschenko's funds amounting to more than 72 million Swiss francs, which were on his accounts in Swiss banks. The Prosecutor General's Office seized his accounts in Ukrainian banks and his vehicle fleet, and requests for international legal assistance were sent to Latvia, Monaco, and Switzerland for the seizure of funds abroad.

On February 28, 2017, it became known that the Supreme Court of Ukraine had terminated all criminal proceedings against Juri Iwantschenko.
