Vsevolod Sergeyevich Knyasev - Former Chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Nikolaev. Graduated from the Nikolaev Humanitarian Institute of the Ukrainian State Maritime Technical University and the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine in Odessa.

Career. In 2001, he obtained his attorney's license. In 2013, the attorney's license was suspended.

Worked as a legal advisor, lecturer at Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding and attorney.

Since 2013, he served as a judge of the Administrative Court of Nikolaev region. From 2015 to 2017, he was the chairman of this court.

Since November 2017, Vsevolod Knyasev has been a judge of the newly established Supreme Court.

As of December 12, 2017 - Secretary of the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court.

On October 22, 2021, he was elected as the new chairman of the Supreme Court. This decision was made at the plenary session of the Supreme Court. 98 judges out of 169 voted for Vsevolod Knyasev's candidacy. Knyasev took the oath of office and was appointed for 4 years starting December 1, 2021.

On May 15, 2023, he was arrested by employees of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine on suspicion of bribery in the amount of 2.7 million US dollars.

On May 6, 2023, the members of the plenary session of the Supreme Court expressed their distrust of Chairman Vsevolod Knyasev, he lost his position as Chairman of the Supreme Court. The vote of no confidence against the Chairman of the Supreme Court does not deprive Knyasev of his role as a judge in the Supreme Court.

Author of several scientific publications.

Family. Married. Knyasev's wife Yulia is a notary. They have a daughter Victoria and a son Vladimir.
