Tatiana Korniakova

Tatiana Vsevolodovna Korniakova - Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine (2002-2010)

Tatiana Vsevolodovna Korniakova was born on January 6, 1958, in Dnipro. She is a distinguished lawyer of Ukraine, a Doctor of Law, and a professor. She also serves as the head of the Department of Administrative and Criminal Law at the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.

Tatiana Korniakova graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute and the Faculty of Law of the Dnipropetrovsk State University in 1981. She also holds the title of Candidate of Legal Sciences.

In January 1992, Tatiana began working in the prosecutorial authorities. She worked as an assistant prosecutor and senior prosecutor of the Leninsky district in Dnipro. She then moved to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, where she served as a prosecutor in the Department of General Supervision and head of the Department of Environmental Law Compliance. From 1996 to 2001, she was the head of the Department of Environmental Law Compliance at the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.

In July 2002, Tatiana became the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine under the leadership of Sviatoslav Piskun. She held this position until 2003. Subsequently, she became the chair of the Coordinating Committee for the Fight Against Corruption and Organized Crime under President Leonid Kuchma. Since 2004, Tatiana has headed the commission for monitoring compliance with the law in the areas of administration and VAT tax compensation.

From December 2004 to July 2010, Tatiana Korniakova served as the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, first under Sviatoslav Piskun and then under Oleksandr Medvedko.

From July 2010 to August 2011, Tatiana worked as the Deputy Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuri Boyko, responsible for combating corruption in the fuel and energy complex.

Since September 2014, Tatiana Korniakova has been the head of the Department of Administrative and Criminal Law at the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.

In October 2020, she was elected a councilor of the Dnipro region from the party “Opposition Platform - For Life.”

Tatiana Korniakova holds the title of State Advisor of Justice class 2 and is a distinguished lawyer of Ukraine. She is the mother of one daughter.
