Place of Birth. Education.

General Information. Born in the city of Polohy in the Zaporizhzhia region. In 1976, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Mining Institute (specialty - technology and comprehensive mechanization of mineral mines, qualification - mining engineer).

Career. 1976-1989 - mining master, assistant chief of the section, deputy director for production of the 'Belozerska' mine (Belozersk).

1989-1991 - director of the 'Belozerska' mine (Belozersk).

1991-1992 - director of production of the production association Dobropoliugillia (Donetsk region).

1992-2000 - director of the 'Dobropolska' mine.

2000 - deputy mayor of Dobropil.

2000-2003 - deputy, head of the fuel and energy management of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration.

2003-2006 - general director of PJSC Pavlogradugol (part of DTEK company of Rinat Akhmetov).

2006-2007 - people's deputy of Ukraine of the V convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 61 in the electoral list). Deputy head of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on fuel and energy complex, nuclear policy and nuclear safety.

2007-2012 - people's deputy of Ukraine of the VI convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 61 in the list). Member of the committee on fuel and energy complex, nuclear policy and nuclear safety.

From December 2012 to November 2014 - people's deputy of Ukraine of the VII convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 66 in the list). Member of the committee on fuel and energy complex, nuclear policy and nuclear safety.

On January 16, 2014, he voted for the 'dictatorship laws' - a package of anti-democratic laws that significantly restricted citizens' rights and freedom of speech.

Public Activity. 1990-1998 - deputy of the Dobropil city council, 1998-2002 - deputy of the Donetsk regional council.

Awards. Honored miner of Ukraine. Order 'For Merits' II and III degrees.

Family. Wife Zoya Korzh (born 1953), daughter Yanina (born 1984).
