Igor Nasalyk

Igor Stepanovich Nasalyk - Deputy of the III., IV. and VIII. Congresses, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry (2016-2019). He served three times as the Mayor of Kalush in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Place of Birth. Education. Born in the city of Oleksandriya in the Kirovohrad region. In 1989, he graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
Career. After his military service, he worked as a driver at ATP 12640 in Rohatyn from 1987 to 1988.

Political Career. In 1998, he was elected as a Deputy of the III. Congress of Ukraine in a majority constituency. Initially, he was a member of the NDP faction and later became a member of the Revival Regions group. From 1999 to 2001, he was a member of the UNR faction.
In 2002, he was elected as a candidate of the electoral block of political parties led by Viktor Yushchenko, Our Ukraine, in constituency No. 86 (Ivano-Frankivsk) to the Verkhovna Rada of the IV. Congress.
In the 2006 local elections, he was elected as the Mayor of Kalush and was re-elected to this position in 2010.
From November 2014 to April 2016, he was a Deputy of Ukraine in the VIII. Congress. He was elected as a candidate of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc in constituency No. 85 (Ivano-Frankivsk) to the Verkhovna Rada. Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex Issues, Nuclear Policy, and Nuclear Safety. Non-partisan.
In the local elections of autumn 2015, he ran as a candidate for Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk from the BPP party.
From April 14, 2016, to August 29, 2019, he was the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.
