Roman Nasirov

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Chernihiv. In 2000, he graduated from Chernihiv State Institute of Economics and Management with a specialization in finance. In 2001, he completed his degree at the Kyiv National University of Economics with a specialization in law. From 2000 to 2004, he was a PhD student at the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance. From 2002 to 2003, he completed an MBA course in Finance and International Management at the University of East London - School of Technology and Management.
Career. He began his career in 1997 as a marketing specialist at Kub in Chernihiv.

On March 2, 2017, Nasirov was arrested in FEOFANIA hospital in connection with the investigation of a criminal case related to allegedly unlawful decisions of the STA head regarding the deferral of tax debts of companies associated with the fugitive parliament member Oleksandr Onyschenko.
On March 3, 2017, Nasirov was suspended from his position as head of the STA by a government decree during the investigation. His duties were temporarily transferred to his deputy Mirosław Prudan.
From April 2017 to October 2020, he was the president of the Ukrainian Judo Federation.
On January 31, 2018, the government dismissed the suspended head of the State Fiscal Service, Roman Nasirov, from his duties.
On December 11, 2018, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv declared the dismissal of Roman Nasirov as head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine illegal. On February 17, 2020, the Sixth Appellate Administrative Court confirmed the decision of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv to reinstate Roman Nasirov as head of the STA.
On October 18, 2022, NABU announced new allegations against Roman Nasirov and businessman Oleg Bahmatiuk. According to investigators, the head of the STA of Ukraine, with the support of his advisor, allegedly obtained an unlawful advantage of over 722 million UAH in 2015-2016 in order to ensure the VAT refund to legal entities controlled by the owner of an agricultural holding for more than 3.2 billion UAH.
On October 31, 2022, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, at the request of NABU and SAP, set a bail case for Roman Nasirov until December 17, 2022, with the alternative of posting a bond of 523.2 million UAH.
Family. Married, with two sons. In 2014, Nasirov declared an income of 4.8 million UAH.
